Kanye West's ex Julia Fox 'cringes' over relationship as she takes subtle swipe at star

Kanye West's ex Julia Fox confessed she “cringes” over her relationship with the rapper as she took a subtle swipe at the controversial star.

The model, 34, first met the Flashing Lights hitmaker at a New Year’s Eve party in Miami in 2021, and the Uncut Gems star was taken on a bizarre date at a restaurant in New York by the rapper just a few days later, as the couple took part in their own photoshoot while in the eatery. She was gifted with a series of extravagant gifts from Kanye during their brief romance, including a closet full of brand new designer clothes, and Julia even documented their relationship in an article for Interview magazine.

However, she soon began to play down their romance, and in an episode of her podcast Forbidden Fruits, Julia said there were “no labels”, adding: “It’s just people that make each other feel better. It’s really, like, such a Gemini-Aquarius connection. It’s very inspirational.” They made their red carpet debut just a few days later, and wore matching outfits as they headed to France to attend several shows during Paris Fashion Week.

Just days after Julia’s birthday in February - where Kanye gifted her pals mini Hermes Birkin bags - the couple called it quits, and in her memoir Down The Drain, she revealed her relationship with Kanye was fraught, and he made comments about her appearance, including telling her to have a boob job. “His words stick to me like a piece of lint on my clothes. I can’t shake off the uncomfortable feeling,” she wrote.

Now, the model has blasted their brief romance, and in a new interview with Cosmopolitan, she was asked which of her exes “is the most cringe”, prompting her to icily reply: “All of them, guys. They’re all really embarrassing. From my baby daddy… to the other one…” Julia, who shares son Valentino with ex-husband Peter Artemiev, then revealed her most cringe-worthy ex-partner was “my drug-dealer boyfriend that kidnapped me when I was in high school and didn’t let me leave his house. Cringe!”

The model has not spoken fondly of her relationship with the rapper, and has previously revealed that the couple didn't have sex while they were together. In her memoir, she recalled feeling like she was being used by Kanye to get back at his ex-wife Kim, as the couple - who share four children - were going though a bitter divorce at the time.

“I really understood him on a visceral level,” she wrote, adding that she “thought ultimately I’d be helping a precarious situation” when it came to his court battle with Kim. “But I learned very quickly that I was being weaponised. I just felt like his little puppet,” Julia stated. She said she knew they would not last as a couple due to their busy lifestyles and careers, but also, because she had no time to parent Kanye. “Ultimately I cannot put anybody else first. My son has to be first. It just became too much. I didn’t sign up to have two babies. I couldn’t do it. It felt like two babies,” she fumed.
