Ant McPartlin has splashed the cash on a £198,000 Aston Martin ahead of the birth of his first child.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, who co-hosts the ITV show with Declan Donnelly, left the luxury vehicle near his London home after picking up the James Bond style flash motor. The five-door DBX 707 SUV is worth £198,000 and has plenty of space for Ant's growing family.

Ant and his wife Anne-Marie are expecting their first child together in June while the ITV presenter is already a step-father to his wife's two daughters. The couple are now preparing for the new addition to the family after keeping the news of the pregnancy secret.

Sharing the couple's happy news, the a source The Sun: "This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are beyond delighted. It's no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with.

"When they found out last year, they were absolutely delighted, but obviously kept the news quiet for as long as possible. To be having a child two years short of his 50th birthday, with the love of his life, is the stuff of dreams for Ant. He's already a wonderful, doting father to Anne-Marie's kids, and together they're going to be brilliant parents to this latest addition to the family."

Ant met Anne-Marie when she was working as a personal assistant to the presenter and his then-wife Lisa Armstrong. Ant and Lisa split after 23 years together and just months later in March 2018 the presenter was seen together with his future second wife for the first time as a couple.

The Geordie TV presenter had previously spoken about his hopes of fatherhood a dad and revealed that he had addressed the possibility that parenthood may not be for him. A source has told The Sun that Ant's realisation that he might never have children was "something he had, sadly, come to terms with".

Ant previously opened up about his and Lisa's fertility battle in a 2013 interview with Radio Times, sharing: "There's a rumour that we do everything together and I'm holding off having kids till Dec finds himself Mrs Right. I love that idea, but I'm afraid it's not true. Lisa and I would love to have kids. We're trying."

"It's tougher than you think," he added. In a recent interview with the Mirror, Ant's Britain's Got Talent colleague Simon Cowell offered some advice on fatherhood. Simon said: "When I heard Ant was going to become a dad, I told him it would be the best thing that ever happened to him. I basically said the first nine months are a bit strange because they can't talk to you.

"I remember saying to Lauren about Eric at one point: 'I don't think he likes me.' But then after a year everything changes and it's hilarious, it's great fun, and you'll really really enjoy it. And it will be life-changing for him. I'm really happy for both of them. What will happen if the baby arrives during the live shows? I'll probably have to host with Dec. Why not?"
