Fabio Wardley has insisted he has no interest in Jake Paul's fight with Mike Tyson.
Tyson will step back into the ring aged 58 to take on YouTube star Paul on July 20, who is 32 years his junior, in a bout which will be sanctioned as a professional contest.
There have been justifiable concerns for the health of the former undisputed champion, given he hasn't fought in a competitive bout since his final outing against Kevin McBride in 2005.
And heavyweight Wardley, who recently drew in an epic battle with Frazer Clarke, told talkSPORT.com that there is no need for the fight to take place.
"It is an absolute waste of time, it really is a waste of time," Wardley said.
"It is a complete joke, I get it they are big names, they sell and they can make a load of money.

"It is a waste of space fight, it is honestly ridiculous.
"No-one in their late 20's should be stepping in the ring with a 60-year-old in the slightest, let alone as a professional fight.
"I don't care if it is Mike Tyson, I don't care who it is or what they look like.
"So I am just not up for it to be honest, it just does nothing for me."
Tyson himself campaigned for the fight to be sanctioned, which comes as a surprise given his exhibition with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.
It is clear he is hard at work for the fight, and has been posting regular training footage which has received mixed reception.
Some fans have even urged the pair to cancel the showdown altogether, with Tyson looking seemingly powerful on the pads.
'Iron Mike' has insisted he is stepping in the ring to do his usual damage, but Paul has claimed he will be the one to land the telling shot.
He remarked: “My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world.
"He is the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep.”
