Ryanair passengers have been reminded to print their boarding passes when visiting three popular holiday destinations abroad. Most countries allow travellers to scan their tickets on their mobile phones, however the rules are different in certain airports.

In some countries, digital boarding passes are not accepted and holidaymakers will need to print out a paper copy before their journey. Airports across the UK accept digital passes, so passengers won't need to print their tickets for their outgoing flight, however they may need a hard copy for their return trip.

Ryanair issued a reminder to customers on its website, saying: "We accept mobile boarding passes on flights from the majority of airports on our network. However, unfortunately some airports cannot accept mobile boarding passes yet, these airports are Turkey and Morocco.”

That means that passengers flying to popular hotspots like Bodrum, Dalaman and Marrakech will need to print a copy of their boarding pass before heading to the airport.

Holidaymakers who have purchased a seat on a Ryanair flight can usually check in up to 60 days before departure, so most people will be able to check in for their return flight and print their passes at home before they go away.

The budget airline also warned that Tirana Airport in Albania is unable to accept mobile passes. The warning added: "Customers travelling from these airports must check in online and print out a paper boarding pass for their flight."

Ryanair passengers can access their boarding passes through the 'My Bookings' section of the Ryanair app. Travellers who misplace their boarding pass and need one reissued for any reason can be charged 20 euros.
