WHEEL of Fortune fans believe they have found a better game show host to replace Pat Sajak instead of Ryan Seacrest.
In June 2023, Pat, 77, who has been hosting Wheel of Fortune since 1981, revealed he would be retiring.
At the time, Pat announced in a statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, "Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last."
"It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)."
Following his statement, the game show host announced that American Idol host Ryan, 49, would be stepping in.
Pat's last show will be on June 7 for the Season 41 finale.

However, in a recent Reddit thread shared on a WoF-dedicated forum, one fan suggested a famous host better than Ryan.
'WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT PICK'
"Joel McHale > Ryan Seacrest," the original poster wrote.
"I don't know if he was in the running for Pat's replacement, but I think Joel McHale would have been a great pick."
Joel, 52, is an American actor and comedian.

He has appeared in popular TV shows including The Soup, Community, and Animal Control, and was the host of the game show Card Sharks.
A second fan agreed, "Joel is a quick wit and Ryan is too robotic. I would prefer Joel over Seacrest."
PAT'S FINAL BOW
Earlier this month, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that Pat has filmed his final Wheel of Fortune episode.
A representative for Sony confirmed to the news outlet that the iconic host has filmed his final six episodes.
His final episode is called "Thanks For The Memories."
"Pat added so much personality to the show. He was the show. Can’t wait to watch the final episode. It’s the end of an era," one wrote in a WoF Reddit forum after the news broke.
HOW RYAN IS PREPARING
In February, Ryan was a special guest on Good Morning America where he discussed his upcoming hosting duties with George Stephanopoulos, 63, Robin Roberts, also 63, and Lara Spencer, 54.
The radio host said, "I'm so excited. I've been watching it for many years like so many people in this country.
"Pat Sajak is such a legend. He makes it look so easy and smooth and seamless, so he's remarkable"
The TV personality revealed that he loved working with his new co-host Vanna White, 66, and said she is "the most amazing person."
At the time, he also said that they started to film promotional videos.
