Could there be one final twist in the automatic promotion race? Will Leeds United pip Ipswich Town to second spot?

The Tractor Boys are in pole position to join Leicester City in the Premier League after beating Coventry City and Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison does not see Kieran McKenna's team slipping up down the final stretch. Ipswich host all-but relegated Huddersfield Town this Saturday while the Whites entertain promotion rivals Southampton.

McKenna's side enter the clash needing only a point to guarantee automatic promotion. On United's pursuit of a top-two finish, former Birmingham City and Crystal Palace striker Morrison told Sky Sports: "You're thinking you maybe need to start getting prepared for the play-offs.

"I'm a realist and this Ipswich team look relentless. They never know when they are beaten. Even against Hull - it was a fantastic game with two good teams going at it - they got the point and they moved on to Coventry, who are a fantastic team, and beat them.

"I can't see them losing at home to Huddersfield in the last game of the season, especially with the fans behind them and a full house (at Portman Road). They won't take their foot off the pedal so I can see Ipswich getting promoted."

Third-placed United only have themselves to blame for no longer being in control of their own promotion destiny. With the finishing line in sight, they have recorded just one victory from their past five matches. Friday's 4-0 thumping at the Queens Park Rangers significantly eased the pressure on Ipswich going into the final round of fixtures.
