Dan Walker has been supported as he reunited with a BBC Strictly Come Dancing star. Dan, who competed on the show three years ago, was seen with Nadiya Bychkova, his pro partner from the series, backstage at the Royal Albert Hall.

Dan typed: "We had a proper laugh in the rehearsal room today getting ready to dance at the @royalalberthall this Saturday night - as you can see from the first 2 attempts. Multiple world champion and Yorkshire Barmaid @nadiyabychkova has choreographed something special for Prom Praise 2024… a celebration of the life and legacy of Eric Liddell - 100 years after he won the Olympic gold immortalised in Chariots of Fire.

"There are still tickets available. https://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/2024/prom-praise-2024/. And you can also watch the livestream on YouTube. https://youtu.be/PRcNopU6hLM. Wait until you see the BIG lifts."

The Channel 5 star, who quit BBC Breakfast in 2022 after his Strictly Come Dancing stint, was supported by fans in the comments. "Looking forward to watching you from the choir stalls, it’s going to be a great evening," a fan replied to him.

"love the dream team back together," another said. "hope the Yorkshire barmaid is going to make an appearance! You’re going to be sensational on Saturday night! Xxx," another wrote. Dan and Nadiya were among the stars of Strictly in 2021.

They performed a string of great routines until they were narrowly knocked out of the competition, narrowly missing out on a place in the semi-finals. The 5 News anchor and Classic FM presenter has revealed that he and Bychkova have been asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall this Saturday (May 4).

Walker went on to share the "good news" that Bychkova has choreographed a "beautiful" cross between an American Smooth and a Viennese Waltz. "Good news 2: my Strictly trousers still fit. Bad News: I have forgotten how much your body aches," he added.

"It has been great to dance again and I can't wait for Saturday night. There is a full orchestra and choir and it's going to be incredible."
