TV personality Paddy McGuinness has been making the most of his time in Northern Ireland while filming for a new project.

The English comedian and actor took to social media to share his praise for the city of Derry after a short visit this week.

He was pictured posing with staff in popular bar Peadar O'Donnell's and even tried his hand at pouring a pint of his name-sake stout.

Posting on Instagram, Paddy revealed he was filming in Derry over the last number of days and even found time to pop into a comedy show to check out the local scene.

He gave a shout out to West Belfast comedian Paddy McDonnell who was performing as part of the Empire Laughs Back comedy club tour of Northern Ireland in the bar on Wednesday.

Paddy said: "Had a great few days filming in Derry.
