Laurence Fox has said he may quit London following a storm over a social media post that he shared featuring an image of TV host Narinder Kaur.

The 45-year-old actor-turned-politician sparked furore on Wednesday when he uploaded an image of 51-year-old former Big Brother star Narinder that had been taken with the camera lens angled up her skirt. The image itself was taken by paparazzi photographers in the past and not by Fox himself. Upskirting - the act of taking a photograph up a skirt without consent - was made illegal in 2019 with the passing of the Voyeurism (Offences) Act.

Those who breach the law can face jail time and/or a fine for the crime. After Fox shared the image - which he did so in apparent retaliation for Narinder criticising former glamour model Leilani Dowding for posing for exotic photos - there was widespread criticism online and police have since confirmed they are investigating the incident.

On Thursday evening, Fox released the latest episode of his YouTube show Fox and Father - a discussion show he co-hosts with 38-year-old priest Calvin Robinson. During the course of their discussion, Fox declared he is contemplating moving away from London - with the news breaking just hours after the latest scandal he sparked.

Beginning the show, Fox shared his personal news. He declared: “I may have a glint of optimism on the horizon. I came to the conclusion that I’ve been walking around getting punched in the face for four years now. And I sense that I may need some distance from it, in a way.”

Calvin then asked: “What does that mean?” And Fox continued, rambling: “It means focusing on, while still focusing on all the things I have to do and everything like that. It means finding some Solace. So finding a place to be which is outside of the city.”

Calvin then suggested: “A retreat?” But Fox hinted he plans to quit the capital for good, declaring: “Yeah. I will divulge more information as it evolves, but yeah. The days, potentially, the days of me waking up in this hell-hole, that leftist run hell-hole that Sadiq Khan — it’s a hell hole. I think the days of me waking up here on a regular basis are about to change.”

Earlier in the day, the Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating whether Fox had broken the law by sharing the historic 'upskirting' image of Narinder. A spokesperson told The Mirror: "We have been made aware of a post on social media regarding an up-skirting offence and we are currently working to establish the circumstances.”

Meanwhile, Narinder herself has hit out at Fox over the use of the image, writing online: "What he did was despicable. I hope you are ok and I hope the police throw the book at him," one of Kaur's followers replied to the star's tweet, to which the former Big Brother responded with: "I'm really not ok...just want that pic gone." She also added: “This is now a police matter.”
