Eldon Square sets a trend with free fashion and beauty event for Newcastle shoppers
City shopping centre's event showcases fashion styles for 2024 and shares freebie beauty tips
Shoppers were treated to some top trends and beauty tips for 2024 at a special event held in Newcastle - and all the advice and masterclasses came for free.
The weekender at Eldon Square, described as a Celebration of Fashion and Beauty, offered up style tricks and suggestions for the spring-summer season from local stylists, make-up artists and trend-setters, including Newcastle influencer and make-up artist Rubey Lalia who said it was "fantastic to see so many people come down to Eldon Square to hear about all the latest trends".
The host for the event, which ran from April 27-28, was BBC Radio Newcastle presenter Anna Foster and also among those taking part were make-up artist Amanda Bell; 'fashion gurus' Jolie Ince from John Lewis and Partner’s Eldon Square store and TV fashion stylist Maddie Sidebottom.

Fashion and beauty influencers Jeerin Akter, Virgit Canaz and Luca Pringle joined the line-up and Eldon Square’s retailers had a look-in too, with the event featuring such stores as Next; New Look; Monki; Hollister & Co; All Saints and Kiko Milano as customers got to check out the likes of summer dresses and skirts. Those who stopped by over the two-day run also had a chance to bag some vouchers and giveaways and could take selfies at a spring flower wall which added to the seasonal cheer.
