Tasty Nosh has grown to become one of the most talked about spots for lunch in Belfast City Centre since opening their deli on Church Lane.

On most days, whether it is hail, rain or sunshine there will be a queue of office workers outside the deli at lunchtime waiting for their food and on more than a few occasions, I have been one of them.

As you can imagine, when the couple behind the business announced that they would be opening a new deli and sit-in in my native West Belfast, I had to make a point of trying it.

Entering the premises on the Andersonstown Road on a busy Friday afternoon, it was great to see that the place was packed with customers and everyone appeared to be enjoying their food.

After a short wait of no more than five minutes, we were shown to a table by the window where we were left to scan the menu and decide on what to order.

Having already drooled over the various photos of their food on their Facebook page, I was aware that they served at least three types of French Toast but it was the Zinger French Toast which stood out to me the most.

This treat was listed as brioche French toast with Sicilian lemon curd, crushed meringue and fresh cream. While it might sound a bit much, as someone with a sweet tooth it sounded delightful!

We had also been recommended to try the Salt and Chilli Chicken Loaded Fries and so we ordered those too.

When our food arrived it felt like a curse to eat it as it had been presented so beautifully!

My French toast looked like something worthy of an Instagram or Pinterest post from a high-end establishment so much so that I looked out the window to reassure myself that I was still sitting in Andytown.

The first bite of the French toast was like a taste explosion. The sweetness of the brioche broke through the bitterness of the lemon curd and the fresh cream toned it down into what I can only describe as a delight.

The French toast was light and cooked to perfection - a total 10 out of 10!

When it came to the loaded fries, I can sometimes be put off by salt and chilli dishes that aren't from a Chinese as more often than not, they are either too spicy or too salty.

Having tried a few fork fulls of their loaded fries, I can see why they are highly recommended.

The skin on fries were seasoned to perfection and the chicken struck the perfect balance between spicy and salted.

The mayo and sweet chilli sauce added to the overall flavour of the dish and helped tone down the heat from the fresh chilli on top.

Overall, I was mightily impressed by this spot. It may be small, but if they continue to serve food to this standard I would say that they will have no problem expanding their business further with larger locations.
