Woman, 41, charged with killing disabled man who died after mobility scooter robbed in Tesco car park

The victim was disabled and died soon after the attack

A WOMAN has been charged with the manslaughter of a disabled man who died after being robbed of his mobility scooter in a Tesco car park.

Kimberley Ann Hawkins, 41, of no fixed address, is accused of killing Neil Shadwick, 63, on January 22 last year in Gloucestershire.

Mr Shadwick was found unresponsive by a staff member at the store on Stratford Road, Stroud, at around 6am.

The temperature at the time was minus four degrees.

Mr Shadwick, who had Parkinsons, suffered a stroke shortly before he died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The scooter, which was Mr Shadwick's transport, was found abandoned nearby later that same day.

Gloucestershire Police said she is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on May 15.
