One eagle-eyed shopper shared the deal on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook Group.

Other fans were quick to comment and tag their friends in the cheap deal.

One person said: "This is the best hoover ever!"

Another added: "It's a beast."

The vacuum cleaner was originally priced at £49 and reduced to £24.50 until finally being reduced again to just £4.90.

It is unclear which store the item was spotted in and bear in mind it might not be available in all stores.

This is the best hoover ever!

We looked on the Asda website, but this version was not listed there, although other Goblin vacuum cleaners were.

The Goblin vacuum cleaners on the website start from £40, with some models only showing available in stores.

You can find your nearest Asda by entering your postcode into the store locator tool on the website.

While we think this Asda offer will be hard to beat, we always recommend shopping around.

Shopping discounts - How to make savings and find the best bargains

You can use sites such as Google Shopping and PriceSpy to compare the prices of items across different retailers.

We checked online to see if we could find this specific model in any other retailers but were unable to see it online.

Nor could we find any other brand that came close to this deal.

The closest we found was an upright Goblin stick vacuum cleaner also in Asda for £25.

The next cheapest was a Belaco all-in-one upright cleaner in B&Q for £28.90.

Bear in mind when you are buying online to factor in any delivery charges, especially with larger items.

The egg chair was £249 but is currently discounted to just £199.

Elsewhere, some shoppers have been less than impressed as the retailer recently announced a change to its rewards scheme.

The supermarket has confirmed that Blue Light card holders who shop in Asda will receive less in their Asda rewards cash pot.

However, there are other ways you can save when shopping with the supermarket giant, we reveal below.
