The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is underway in India. On Monday (May 6), A-listers from different walks of life came together to raise voting awareness among the people. 

Bollywood celebrities like ace filmmaker Karan Johar, actors Ranbir Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Sidharth Malhotra, among others, came together to raise voting awareness among the people. 

Shared on the Instagram handle of Karan Johar, the quirky video showed actors, singers, filmmakers, and cricketers, coming together as they urged the netizens to use their precious time to cast their votes. 

The quirky video starts by showing stills of random IG polls carried out by celebrities. 

We see Sidharth Malhotra, Karan, Boman Irani and other celebs sarcastically praising fans who enthusiastically voted on the polls to help stars make silly life decisions.

Sidharth Malhotra says in the clip, “Jaago desh ke jantaa jaago (Wake up people of the country).”  Further, the stars emphasised how voting in the election will help change their lives. In the end, all the A-listers carry a sign reading, #VoteWhereItMatter. 

Sharing the post, Karan wrote,'' Now that we have your attention, please go and #VoteWhereItMatter.''

In the first two phases of the Lok Sabha election, several celebrities including superstars Rajinikanth, Prakash Raj, Mammootty, and Dhanush were seen at the polling booths exercising their right to vote.

On Tuesday, the voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 commenced at 7 am in 93 constituencies across 11 states and Union Territories. Actor Riteish Deshmukh, his wife Genelia Deshmukh and his mother Vaishali Deshmukh were spotted at the polling booth in Latur, a city in Maharashtra. Check live updates here.

"This is an important day and I think everyone should cast their votes today," Genelia Deshmukh said before casting her vote.
