It confirmed that two of its Scottish pubs are currently in the process of being sold.

The company also confirmed that 18 pubs have been sold or surrendered to the landlord so far this year.

The pub giants were looking into opening a new bar on the site of the former Tusk nightclub on Moss-Side Road.

The company even altered the premise's licence.

It was hoped the venue would replace the Sir John Stirling Maxwell pub.

The franchise confirmed that the site was now being put up for sale and they won’t be developing further following a “commercial” decision.
