Match report, by Phil Thomas
FOREST fans all smiles despite a defeat, Nicolas Jackson finally finding the way to goal…it certainly was a strange old day at the City Ground.
One that home supporters will look back on with warm memories in years to come…even though their side lost.
And one Chelsea's will recall as a rare occasion they hailed Jackson as a match-winning hero, rather than chance-blowing blunderer.
Yet one when ultimately you can forget the scoreboard, forget the scorers and forget the performance...

Match stats:
This is how the match stats look at full time:
Chelsea dominated possession but conceded lots of shots from Nottingham Forest, with quite a few of them being from range.
Overall, Chelsea probably deserved the win, but it was a valiant effort from Forest at home, who just didn't have enough to get over the line.
Reece James on Cole Palmer:
Chelsea captain Reece James has spoken to Sky Sports about just how good Cole Palmer has been for his side this season:
"Cole is one of the best in the world I think personally.
"You've seen what he can do when he gets his chance, at City he probably didn't get to play as much as he wanted but then he came here and took the opportunity with both hands."
"Cole is one of the best in the world"
Reece James
What a return for RJ
Reece James told the Chelsea fans "See you at 5:30pm" on X before the game, before being left on the bench to make an impact for the Blues.
Pochettino bought him into the game when Chelsea were 2-1 down, and he seemed to instantly change the game for his side.
After Raheem Sterling levelled things up, he was in acres of space on the right-hand side, and picked out wonderfully by Moises Caicedo.
It was a succulent cross on a sixpence for Nicolas Jackson to head home and give Chelsea all three points.
That's what your captain does.
I think this Chelsea fan just about summarises how much they love their star right-back:
Special team, special plays, special players
It was something of a sketchy win for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest this evening, but they got the job done with a cracking turnaround in the final 20 minutes at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest thought they had safety secured when Callum Hudson-Odoi scored against his former club on his 100th Premier League appearance to put his team in the lead.
But Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson had other ideas, when the former levelled the scoring and the latter headed home from a Reece James cross on his return from injury.
What a game that was, and it sees Chelsea sit seventh in the table, making a two-point game on Newcastle United who sit one place above them on goal difference.

It falls to Chris Wood in the middle, who looks destined to tap it home, but he gets underneath it and lifts it over the bar.
So, so close for Forest.
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Chelsea
57. French duo Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku are warming up for Chelsea on the bench, and getting ready to come on.
It's been something of a room temperature performance from the Blues so far, and they need to turn up the heat.
