Jet2 has issued urgent travel advice for anyone going to Majorca amid possible disruptions. Jet2, which is rivalled by the likes of Ryanair, Easyjet, TUI and more, has issued a warning for Balearic Islands holidaymakers and passengers amid the spring and summer getaway.

Jet2 warned of ongoing works taking place at Majorca's Palma Airport that could cause disruptions, although it stated it will try to ensure customers are not affected. Jet2 said: "We'd just like to let you know that Majorca's Palma Airport is currently undergoing some maintenance work.

"Don't worry though, we're liaising with the airport to ensure your airport experience runs as smoothly as possible. Our Customer Helpers will also be on hand as usual if you need any help. We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience. All Jet2.com flights will be using check-in desks 188 to 203 and will board from Module A."

Jet2 has also issued advice for customers taking flight from East Midlands Airport, saying: "We have been made aware of road works between Junction 23A and Junction 25 on the M1, one lane will be permanently closed on the Northbound and Southbound carriageways with a 50mph speed restriction in place.

"Delays are likely during peak hours. There will be sporadic closures of Junction 23A slip roads, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00. There will be signed diversions. Please allow enough time to travel to East Midlands Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled."

It comes a day after Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operates its first flight to Bourgas from Bristol Airport.
