Molly-Mae Hague has announced she has partnered with a huge high street chain in a huge new career move.

Nearly 12 months after quitting her £5 million a year role as Creative Director for online fashion brand Pretty Little Thing, the social media influencer and former Love Island star shared she is now a brand ambassador for Marks & Spencer.

Taking to Instagram to reveal the news in a joint post from M&S and her @mollymaison home account, Molly-Mae - who turns 25 later this month – told her millions of followers: “I hope you’ve all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! I’m excited to announced I’m not a @marksandspencerfood ambassador. Ad.”

In the post, a make-up free and dressed down Molly-Mae is portrayed as a domestic goddess as she makes the bed and plumps pillows in the Cheshire mansion she shares with husband-to-be Tommy Fury and their one-year-old daughter Bambi.

She then starts cooking her family a Sunday roast with M&S food and is seen peeling potatoes to make the perfect roasties, putting a cook in the bag chicken in the oven, making her own stuffing balls and glazing her carrots and parsnips before topping it with yummy gravy. In some shots, she holds baby daughter Bambi in her arms as she cooks.

But while her sister Zoe branded her “queen of the roasts!” and most fans were here for the Molly-Mae and M&S Collab, with one calling it “brilliant” and another saying “Congratulations. Great partnership. Those roasties look top notch”, others expressed their surprise they were working together, especially as Molly-Mae is better known for her make-up and fashion over her cooking skills.

One M&S fan commented: “It is really disappointing that you have decided to give this person a brand deal given her lack of talent and the fact she can’t even cook. I shop at M&S loads and this really puts me off that you are closing stores yet giving money to her. Not a good look.”

“No idea who this is. I’ll stick with the website thanks,” said another, as a third replied: “Never heard of this ‘ambassador’ either!? What’s going on.” A fourth chimed in: “Love love to see you cooking and not constantly having takeaway.” While a fifth added: “Piles of plastic and lazy cooking... go to the market and buy it fresh and cook it proper from the start without fancy ambassador posts.” The Mirror has approached Molly-Mae’s reps for further comment on the story.

The M&S job is the first big brand deal Molly-Mae has had since she stepped down from her Pretty Little Thing role – for which she was reportedly paid a whopping £400,000 a month - last June to focus on motherhood. Although left the role, she said she was planning to continue as an ambassador for the brand.

Confirming the news on her YouTube channel, Molly-Mae told fans: "A lot of people have been asking me about PLT creative director, how's the role going, how's everything going with PLT, and everything is going incredibly with PLT… I will forever have the most insane relationship with PLT… they are literally my family. I am still working with them and doing collections and edits, but I have actually decided to step down as my creative director role."

She continued: "Over the last few weeks, I have realised that I'm only going to get this time once with my first-born child and I'm only going to get Bambi being four months old once and I feel like I've had to rearrange my life a little bit and lose some commitments that I did have.

"Myself and PLT have decided collectively that as much as the creative director role was incredible and I have literally loved being the creative director of PLT more than anything it was such an amazing chapter for me it has naturally come to an end."

The star added: "I am a mum now and I never really gave myself a maternity leave and I got straight back into work instantly because my work is my phone and showing my life is my work. The last thing I would want to be is in a role that I can't fulfil right this moment. There is no drama, there is absolutely no tea… nothing has gone on.”
