STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) - A Stowe business was damaged by fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say Kit Lender on South Main Street caught fire, likely because of an electrical failure within a wall outlet.

They say the fire started in the break room and spread rapidly because of combustible materials on the second floor.

The exact cause of the fire is still undetermined but officials do not believe it’s the result of human involvement.

No one was injured.

The fire caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage, much of it from inventory that was destroyed or severely damaged in the fire.
