Serena Williams may have been born in Saginaw, MI but she’s a product of Compton. Not having ideal playing conditions for tennis growing up, the younger Williams sister defied reality to make her dreams come true. Now years later, as Williams embarks on a new journey with WYN Beauty, its launch “wouldn’t be complete without showing the Compton.” And her husband Alexis Ohanian is standing by her side as the strongest pillar as we can see from his recent comment!

With Serena Williams actively working on the promotion of the product, there was no doubt it would soon reach a store in her hometown. She shared a post on her ‘X’ page, “Compton on my mind. The launch of @wynbeauty wouldn’t be complete without showing the Compton @ultabeautystore some love. If you’re in Compton this Saturday, stop by at Ulta – first 100 customers can pick out a free @wynbeautyitem — on me!

While Williams will not be present in person, she has some surprises planned for the customers. While the comment section of her X post was flooding with congratulatory messages, Serena Williams’ husband further stepped in to hype the development of Williams’ brand. To her announcement, he replied, “Compton stays undefeated”. WYN Beauty is the brainchild of Williams and her experiences as someone who has looked different from most of her peers. Along with high-performing ingredients, WYN products focus on being long-lasting regardless of the activities.

“I never wanted to fit into a box,” Williams told Byrdie. “I don’t look like anyone else and never will. I was one of the first athletes [in tennis] that had a differently shaped body. I felt I’ve pioneered in so many different ways, so I wanted to include beauty in that.”

While caring for two growing kids Olympia and Adira, Williams and Ohanian are always looking to expand their ideas as entrepreneurs. The investment opportunities are endless for the 23-time grand slam champion, but balancing being a mother and having one’s own business can be tricky. However, she is not ready to compromise.

Serena Williams wants to grow further after “25 years” as an entrepreneur

The retired tennis champion, who is often vocal about how she manages her schedule after becoming a mother, has discussed how she wants to be a good mother to her daughter while also pursuing her own professional goals. She is always looking for the next thing to work on, but her next big project is her personal life. “I’ve always been in this space, but actually focusing on my businesses and focusing on growing not only my brand but different brands and working with different founders as a venture capitalist. But I think the very next thing on my list is just to be a good mom.
