Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Vedic education

Earlier on April 29, Khan addressed a seminar on ‘Vedic wisdom for cosmic harmony' at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) and suggested that including Vedic education in our conduct is the best way to spread Vedic education and added that the world would learn lessons from it.

Khan asserted that all our constitutional ideals are rooted in our traditions. But the belief is that these have come from the West as we know very little about our culture and heritage.

The governor said our culture is not tolerance but acceptance and respect.

The governor spoke about the cyclical nature of cultures, with periods of prosperity and challenge. He emphasised that appearances can be deceiving, and true understanding requires looking deeper.

"Our culture is on a journey," he said, "one of continuous discovery. Every day brings new insights, leading us to redefine ourselves. As we connect more deeply with our heritage, doubts will naturally fade. After all, our roots run strong and provide unwavering support."
