The highly sought-after Ambiano air fryer from Aldi, which sold out within hours of its release last year, has made its return to the shelves. The 5.5l family-sized cooking gadget, priced significantly lower than a similar sized Ninja version, was a hit with bargain hunters.

Now, the Ambiano air fryer has made a comeback and it's expected to be even harder to get hold of. However, for those lucky enough to secure one, it will offer even better value than before, as it's now priced at just £34.99, down from £59.99.

This new price tag makes it a fraction of the cost of the comparable Ninja AF160UK Max Air Fryer, which has a 5.2L capacity and is currently priced at £129.99 on Ninja's website.

The Ambiano digital air fryer has previously been praised for its versatility, offering 11 separate presets, a preheat function and a temperature range from 80 to 200 degrees - perfect for creating energy-efficient and healthy family meals.

It comes with a dishwasher-safe frying basket, a full three-year warranty and even a digital recipe book packed with ideas for home chefs unsure of where to start with the gadget. Last time it was in stock, demand was so high that Aldi limited online sales to just two per person to try and keep up with demand, reports Wales Online.

However, to get your hands on one this time around, shoppers will have to head into store today (May 9).

The Aldi air fryer, which serves 4-5 people, is even cheaper than the 5L Tower air fryer, currently priced at £49.99 on Amazon, and the 5.2L Salter device, retailing for £44.99 at Robert Dyas.

Among other budget alternatives to big-name products going on sale as Specialbuys in the coming weeks is a £12.99 portable blender that bears a striking resemblance to Ninja's popular Blast, a hit with smoothie and protein shake enthusiasts who can blend their drinks on the move.

Previously available for online orders, Aldi now only launches its Specialbuys in-store, with new products hitting the shelves every Thursday and Sunday while stocks last. Customers can preview them online the Friday before, and they remain live online for two weeks after.

Shoppers can check the availability of an item in-store by visiting the Aldi website.
