Emmerdale is lining up dark scenes next week, and hints at what's ahead on the ITV soap next week.
Viewers will see things worsen for Belle Dingle amid the show's abuse storyline as her husband Tom King takes action again. Belle is said to be left terrified by what he does next, after turning violent with her this week.
Elsewhere, the car accident that leaves Nicky Miligan fighting for his life continues to rock the village, and soon there's a confession from Ethan Anderson. His guilt soon comes to light, with a possible exit on the horizon thanks to a family member.
Also next week there's a surprise romance teased, as one character makes a move on a friend, and Kim Tate takes her revenge on newcomer Rose Jackson. Here are the biggest moments happening next week on the ITV soap...
Belle's horror
Belle Dingle will find herself in a terrifying situation with Tom King next week. The ITV soap is tackling a coercive control storyline with the characters, and fans have seen Tom isolating and manipulating his partner. With his vile behaviour worsening recently and him having her under surveillance, it's been revealed that the character will soon turn violent in a heartbreaking development.
In upcoming scenes next week, Tom continues to isolate Belle from her family and in another sick twist he opens a joint account for him and Belle in a bid to control another aspect of her life. Later in the week, Tom is left furious when he uses the puppy camera at home to spy on Belle while she talks to family members Lydia and Mandy. The three playfully tease Tom behind his back, unaware that he's furiously listening to every word.
It's not long until Tom suddenly arrives home unexpectedly, Belle is left anxious but she is soon relieved to find that he's pleasant to Mandy and Lydia but worries whether he's being genuine. However, her fears are soon confirmed, as later when they leave Belle finds herself in a terrifying situation when Tom turns on her once again.
Shock arrest
Emmerdale is lining up explosive scenes next week as one character "exits" after three years in the village. In upcoming scenes this week, a horror smash results in one village resident being left for dead by their own friend, before someone finds their lifeless body.
With "no signs of life" it's teased the character will be killed off in the dramatic scenes, as the other character involved flees the scene and leaves them for dead. Ethan feels guilty as his family, unaware of his involvement in the crash, praise him ahead of his new job. However, Ethan's father, Vicar Charles Anderson, soon notices his son's discomfort and worries as he guides him into the church for a frank conversation.
It's not long until Charles is blindsided when Ethan admits that he was driving the car when Nicky had his accident, where he's left even more horrified to learn that Ethan intends to lie to the police and asks for an alibi. Later in the week, there's a huge twist as Ethan is arrested for Nicky's accident as he's devastated to discover that he's been betrayed by his own father and he's reported him to the police.
New romance
In upcoming scenes, Vinny Dingle opens up to Paddy Kirk about feeling lonely. In a bid to cheer up Vinny, Mandy Dingle plays Cupid as she asks Gabby Thomas to spend some time with him, hoping it will stop him from feeling lonely.
Later, Gabby and Vinny enjoy each other's company in the Hide. With things going well, poor Vinny misreads the situation and kisses Gabby but is soon left mortified when it becomes clear that she doesn't feel the same and the date was platonic.
A red-faced Vinny is quick to apologise to Gabby, where she awkwardly lets slip about Mandy and Paddy's involvement in their plans. After seeing how humiliated and angry Vinny is, Paddy feels guilty over his and Mandy's meddling in his life.
However, it looks as though a romance could potentially blossom as later Laurel Thomas offers some words of advice to Gabby as she suggests that she should break away from her usual type in men. Will Gabby give Vinny a chance and could this be the start of a surprise romance?
Kim takes revenge
Rose Jackson may regret taking on ruthless Kim Tate, as next week the latter takes her revenge. After a sinister threat in a recent episode where she told Kim she'd always win, warning her not to cross her, she could be left eating her words. Kim makes a brutal decision that leaves Rose reeling, as Kim targets her amid their recent drama.
Rose recently debuted on the soap as Dawn Taylor's estranged mother, who walked out on her and ex Will Taylor when Dawn was a child. Will is now married to Kim, and his partner wasn't keen on Rose disrupting their lives, while Will didn't exactly like the sound of it either.
But amid Rose appearing to win Dawn over amid some heartbreaking scenes for her and partner Billy Fletcher, Rose used this to get at Kim. Now, Kim is about to seek payback it seems as she wastes no time in excluding Rose from her family at the worst possible time.
