Manifest alum Melissa Roxburgh is heading back to NBC, having nabbed a leading role in the network’s upcoming drama The Hunting Party.
First ordered to series in February, the “high-concept crime procedural” follows an assembled team of investigators who are tasked with tracking down and capturing the country’s most dangerous killers, all of whom have just escaped from a “top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist,” per the official logline.
Roxburgh will play Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, a shrewd ex-FBI agent who is recruited to the titular group due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who’s caught some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers.
The Hunting Party hails from series creator JJ Bailey, who also wrote the pilot episode. Bailey will serve as co-showrunner alongside Jake Coburn (co-creator of NBC’s The Endgame).
Roxburgh, meanwhile, recently capped a four-season run on NBC-turned-Netflix’s supernatural drama Manifest, where she starred as Michaela Stone opposite Once Upon a Time‘s Josh Dallas. Earlier this month, she was introduced on CBS’ Tracker as Dr. Dory Shaw, the younger sister of Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw. Roxburgh boarded Tracker with the potential to recur, though it’s unclear how her role will change in the wake of Thursday’s Hunting Party news.

Has tones of The Blacklist. A show that I really miss.
Great news ever! Super excited for Melissa and NBC😍
Wonderful news! Melissa deserves a new leading role!
Is there any way Season 4 Pt.1 & Pt. 2 be shown back-to-back to stream? Or release all seasons on DVD?
So, she’ll be playing a Tracker? ;-)
My thought exactly.
Negotiate to keep the Tracker gig. The Hunting Party sounds like yet another high concept series doomed to peter out after a strong sampling and the excitement of an early season 2 renewal
Melissa Roxburgh has proven she can front this type of show, based on her experience with “Manifest”, and “The Marine 4.” Broadcast tv is always a huge gamble because for a show to succeed it takes a lot more viewers than on cable or streaming. Broadcast tv is still so restrictive that writers can’t handle mature subjects and visuals that most younger tv viewers are used to. So, “The Hunting Party” will have to appeal to an older viewing audience.
wow i thought this was a spinoff of her character on tracker (on cbs) >_<
She is a wonderful actress. We loved her in Manifest and are looking forward to seeing her in The Hunting Party
I was so glad to see Melissa on TRACKER! I think she’s a good actress. She should be great in the new show so I’m looking forward to that!!
