Japan's Sega Sammy to sell seaside resort to U.S. investment firm Fortress

Move comes as Seagaia swings back to profit amid tourism boom

TOKYO -- Sega Sammy Holdings plans to sell its Phoenix Seagaia Resort in Japan to U.S.-based Fortress Investment Group as the Japanese amusement company looks to focus resources on video games and other segments, Nikkei has learned.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the southwestern Japanese city of Miyazaki, Seagaia offers hotels, golf and other attractions and has seen earnings recover after years of struggle.
