Taylor Swift has seemingly confirmed that the song, But Daddy I Love Him, from her 11th studio album isn't just about Matty Healy, but is also about Travis Kelce as well.

The hitmaker, 34, released The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, and last night in Paris when kicking off the Europe leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor performed songs from the new album for the first time. Adding in a substantial chunk to the set from her new album, one of the songs Taylor crooned last night was But Daddy I Love Him - a song long thought and speculated to be about Matty Healy.

When Taylor briefly dated The 1975 frontman last May, social media erupted. Many fans were "disappointed" that Taylor was dating Matty due to his controversial past, with the chorus of But Daddy I Love Him hinting at her fans and the backlash they unleashed.

"Now I'm runnin' with my dress unbuttoned / Screamin', 'But, Daddy, I love him' / I'm havin' his baby / No, I'm not, but you should see your faces / I'm tellin' him to floor it through the fences / No, I'm not coming to my senses / I know he's crazy, but he's the one I want," Taylor croons in the chorus.

After the song came out, it was speculated that the final chorus switched from being about Matty to being about Taylor's new boyfriend Travis. "Now I'm dancin' in my dress in the sun and / Even my daddy just loves him / I'm his lady / And, oh my God, you should see your faces / Time, doesn't it give some perspective? / And, no, you can't come to the wedding / I know it's crazy, but he's the one I want."

And now fan theories have been seemingly "proven" after she changed the outro to link up with the chorus of So High School, which is thought to be about Travis. "TAYLOR CHANGED THE OUTRO OF ‘BUT DADDY I LOVE HIM’ TO THE CHORUS OF ‘SO HIGH SCHOOL’," penned one fan on X.

The hitmaker rocked a series of new outfits at the show

Another then said: "The person who said But Daddy I Love Him was about Matty AND Travis was actually correct." While a third said: "I love that she confirmed the last verse in But Daddy I Love Him is about her current relationship by mashing it up with So High School."

Meanwhile, someone else said: "I'll continue to be convinced But Daddy I Love Him is about Travis and not Matty especially since she mashed it up with So High School." Whule another added: "She played But Daddy , then went into So High School = I love Travis , then played The Smallest Man = I hate Matty."

Elsewhere, someone else fumed: "But Daddy I Love Him isn’t even about the specific relationships. It’s about how 'fans' abuse and treat Taylor in relationships she wants to pursue. Matty is just an example of it. There’s no 'this part is Matty this part is Travis'. It’s all aimed at the 'fans'."

This comes after Taylor seemingly confirmed that So High School was about her current boyfriend Travis. In the lyric video for So High School, Taylor seemingly highlighted her and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s initials. This takes place 45-seconds into the video.
