A special party to celebrate Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool manager will take place in one of the city’s most popular parks.

The German announced in January that he would be leaving the club after eight years in charge, during which time Liverpool have won every major trophy possible. Although they went onto win the League Cup the following months, hopes of a truly spectacular ending have been ended by a poor run of form in the Premier League and defeats in the FA Cup and Europa League.

However, many supporters still want to celebrate his achievements with his final game in charge against Wolves next Sunday, May 19. One place for this will be a special edition of the Sefton Park Social.

At Klopp In The Park, which takes place next Sunday, there will be a big screen in the park to watch the game, beer and cocktail tents plus multiple food traders. There will also be live acoustic music playing LFC classics as well as DJ sets from the likes of Katy Alex and John Dean.

To 'send the big man off in style', there will be a red sky lantern send-off with a Klopp mask party too.

The Sefton Park Social began earlier this month, with a fundraiser for Africa Oyé and a disco festival. There will be another edition on the weekend of the Glastonbury music festival.

Yesterday, a farewell party for Klopp set to be held at Aintree racecourse was cancelled. There will be a special ‘Evening with Jurgen Klopp’ at the M&S Bank Arena later this month.
