Miami Beach PD just got a serious upgrade.
With police fleets getting upgraded with high-performance squad cars that often pack more power than the cars they’re chasing, the days of superspeeders believing they can outrun the law are gone. It’s an innovative idea that the Dubai Police have embraced since starting its exotic car collection with a Lamborghini Aventador in 2013. Since then, Dubai has accumulated a lineup that now features a Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Ferrari F12, Lotus Eletre R, McLaren MP4-12C, Audi R8, Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG G-Wagon, Porsche Panamera, BMW I8, and Maserati Gran Turismo. Bringing the same idea state side is the Miami Beach Police Department, who just unveiled a custom Rolls-Royce Ghost as the newest addition to its squad for promotional purposes. The partnership comes courtesy of the automotive specialists at Braman Motorcars, who sponsored and outfitted the $350K+ luxury car with all the nesscary lights and functions for it to start its first shift on South Beach.
As part of its role as a member of the MBPD recruitment team, Miami Beach PD and Braman Motorcars revealed the Ghost with a video welcoming its newest member with a motorcade. Even wrapped in a custom matte black and white interceptor livery with Miami Beach PD and Braman Miami logos, the Rolls-Royce most definitely stands out from the rest of the regular service fleet. The Rolls-Royce Ghost takes a top spot as one of the most luxurious and practical cars, offering both comfort and performance in a spacious four-door comfiguration. The Ghost even packs a punch under the hood with Rolls-Royce’s 6.75-liter turbocharged V12 generating more than 563 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. And while you can almost guarantee that no perps will ever see the back of this squad car, its easy to admit that it would be the most comfortable ride.
