Nearly a year after the PGA Tour announced the framework agreement with the PIF on June 6, 2023, Brandel Chamblee has taken a huge U-turn on his stance. Chamblee has been one of the most vocal voices against LIV Golf and its investors PIF, A year ago, talking about the PGA Tour-PIF merger, the Golf Channel analyst said that any deal with PIF would not benefit the game of golf.

However, now Chamblee believes that making a deal with Saudi Arabia’s PIF would be better for the game of golf and the PGA Tour. On his recent appearance at the Golf Central, Chamblee agreed with Rory McIlroy’s stance on hastening the merger and unifying the golf world. He said, “So the time is now, to Rory’s point about making a deal, I wouldn’t have said that a year ago… but it is the better end of the bargain.” Following his turn of heart regarding the PGA Tour and PIF making a deal, the swagger on the LIV Golf, that is Anthony Kim called out the former golfer and his hypocrisy.

Kim berated Chamblee for taking back his brutal and critical words for PIF and LIV Golf and asked if he would now cover LIV Golf’s broadcast as a changed man. AK said, “Ramble Chamblee @chambleebrandel ur such a pu**y 4 beating on ur chest & basically saying never retreat & hypocritically retreat. It is well known this talentless fool is disliked by most people in the golf world. U still gonna cover golf if @livgolf_league is involved?” 

To the disparaging words of Kim, Chamblee came out to explain why he said that the deal was better and how inaccurate Ak’s words were. The golf analyst said that everything Kim tweeted out was as inaccurate as Phil Mickelson’s drives these days and criticized Kim for using a female body part to denigrate him as he was the father of one.

Moreover, he then explained that regardless of the PIF-PGA Tour merger, the former would poach the players and dilute the game. So, the deal was the better option. He then requested AK to go back to how he enjoyed watching him play golf back in the day. So, even with the things Chamblee didn’t like about LIV, he wanted to see Kim play golf as remarkably as he used to do.

With the back and forth between Kim and Chamblee, the golf world was all in to support Kim and his savage response to the former golfer’s U-turn. They were praising the 38-year-old as they agreed with him.

The golf world praised Anthony Kim for calling out Chamblee

Over the years, Branden Chamblee has given his opinions on many things that happened in the golf world. The analyst has been reprimanded for his takes on Tiger Woods to now on LIV Golf. This fan, who once used to like Chamblee has now turned out against him. Calling out the analyst, they said, “Brandel is the biggest hypocrite & virtue signaller in golf. I’ve gone from admiring him to utter distain. And I know I’m in the majority with that belief.” 

AK has always been a savage. Even when he was on hiatus, Chamblee recalled the 11-year-old Kim who had the swagger to beat anyone in golf, even him at that time. Now, to get the end of the stick, this fan couldn’t love it more that Kim was again showing that side of him. They said, “Did not see AK leading the sermon for Chamblee’s funeral today, but here we are and I couldn’t love it more!”

Many were opposing Kim’s decision to join LIV Golf without trying to get back to the PGA Tour through the Q-school. As a result, the 38-year-old had fewer fans but now that count might be increasing After the Chamblee call out, this fan exclaimed, “Just became an @AnthonyKim_Golf fan!!!!”

Anthony Kim’s deal for getting back to golf and playing at LIV was reported to be more or less $12 million with the guaranteed money Kim would receive after every event. It seems that amount would have increased if it was up to this fan. After AK dropped the savage bomb on Chamblee, this fan asked the rebel league and its CEO, “@livgolf_league @SharkGregNorman give this man a raise!! He just buried @chambleebrandel !! Wow! Brilliant.”

Kim was always regarded as one of the most confident strut and swagger. This fan loved the old side of Kim and they excitingly said, “This is the swagger that AK needs to return to greatness! Love it. Bring back the belt buckles!”
