Jurgen Klopp's intense training regime at Liverpool saw players working non-stop for six weeks, according to former Reds goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.

The Hungarian shot-stopper, who was one of Brendan Rodgers' last signings before his departure, revealed the German manager's demanding approach in an exclusive chat with Ladbrokes Fanzone.

"We would constantly be working on that pressing style; where to start, how to do it correctly," said the free agent. Bogdan, who only made six appearances as Simon Mignolet's backup during his time at Anfield, also highlighted Klopp's hands-on approach, reports the Liverpool Echo.

"And he was always there, by the way. He would even take the recovery sessions after the game. He was so involved. He'd do all the talking, because his assistant couldn't speak English. He was so intense, and with his voice and attitude, he kept that intensity high at all times."

The 36-year-old further explained how Klopp introduced specific shooting drills designed around player reactions post losing possession. "He introduced these shooting drills which were designed around our reactions after losing the ball," he continued.

"Everything was drilled into us, and it was constant. It was all built around reactions, and the importance of being the first to react." During his first season at the helm, juggling Europa League commitments led to some gruelling training sessions at Melwood, as Bogdan revealed the intensity of competing in Europe.

"It was so demanding in the beginning; I think we went through six weeks without a day off, because of the European schedule," he shared. "He was very German in that sense; the British system before allowed for the occasional day off, but that wasn't the case under Jurgen Klopp."

"And then he started to build and expand the team around him. Not just on the pitch or in the dugout, but behind the scenes, also. The Hungarian shot-stopper reflected on how Klopp began overhauling various aspects of the club, starting with the players' diet.
