There are some stunning scenes across Cornwall beaches today as people soak up the high temperatures

People have been making the most of the heat today - and who can blame them

As temperatures across Cornwall reach highs of 23 degrees today, we're finally getting a taste of that summer heat we've been longing for. And in true fashion this bout of good weather is showing Cornwall at its very best.

Beach days and long picturesque walks mean the cares of the world melt away, if only for a little while, replaced by a sense of tranquility and peace.

And while the whether might lead you to think Cornwall's beaches have been packed today - webcam pictures from this afternoon show a different reality as people take to the sea and sand.
