The PAK vs IRE 2nd T20I will be played at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin on Sunday, May 12 from 7.30 pm IST which is 3 pm local time. 

Pakistan is currently playing a three-match series against Ireland as their preparation for the T20 World Cup USA/West Indies in June. RCB has managed to get some match practice ahead of the T20 World Cup with elite players from other teams playing in the IPL 2024 currently. 

Pakistan and Ireland have both qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024. The T20 World Cup 2024 starts from June 2 with Pakistan playing against India on June 9 in New York. 

The PCB reappointed Babar Azam as the captain of the Pakistan team across formats after the call to appoint three different captains across formats did not work out for the national team.

Shaheen Afridi lost to New Zealand in a T20I series at home and in Pakistan as Mohsin Naqvi the new PCB chief reappointed Babar Azam as the captain across formats leading into the T20 World Cup. 

Ireland won the first T20I played in Sublin by five wickets chasing 183 to win. Former Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie (77) starred with the bat as he eclipsed Babar Azam's 57 off 43 balls to win the game for his side. History beckons the Irish side now as another win on Sunday will give them a historic serious win against Pakistan.

Ireland beat Pakistan in the 2007 World Cup for the first time and since then has hurt them numerous times on ICC events. This is their big chance to win a bilateral series against the Men in Green who are in a slight transitional phase.
