Canelo Alvarez is confident Tyson Fury will come out on top in his fight with Oleksandr Usyk this weekend.

The undisputed super-middleweight world champion knows a thing or two about uniting all of the belts in his weight class, having done exactly that in 2021.

On Saturday night, WBC king Fury will meet WBA, IBF and WBO champion Usyk to unify all four heavyweight world titles and crown an undisputed ruler of the division.

The fight has been in the works ever since Usyk's second victory over Anthony Joshua in 2022.

After that fight, when asked about AJ's performance Canelo said: "He looked good, he looked good.

"It's just - Usyk is a great fighter. I think that's the difference."

Tony Bellew believes Tyson Fury stood a better chance of beating Oleksandr Usyk before making two major changes

Regarding whether he believes the Ukrainian could replicate his success against Fury though, Canelo replied: "I don't think so.

"It's gonna be a good fight, but I think Fury is gonna win because he has everything.

"He has boxing skills and he has the weight, so it's gonna be different."

Interestingly, Joshua himself does not agree with Canelo.

Speaking to talkSPORT, AJsaid: "Well look I've fought Oleksandr Usyk so I can go only speak on what I have experienced from him.

"Phenomenal fighter, does everything to a tee and I would say he is going to do a really good job.

"I have never fought Tyson Fury so I can't really speak on how he will perform or what it is like to face him.

"So only speaking on what I know I would have to say Oleksandr Usyk will be victorious."

Meanwhile, boxing's last undisputed heavyweight king Lennox Lewis did agree with Canelo's assessment.

"I believe that Tyson Fury has great attributes, he's tall, he can box out of both stances, he can go forward," he told talkSPORT.

"Right now to me it's difficult to beat a bigger guy so I'll always say the bigger guy has the advantage.

"I think Tyson Fury on points, but I'm not counting out Usyk."
