Lille boss Paulo Fonseca currently has a general agreement in place with Ligue 1 side Marseille, amidst heavy links with Serie A giants Milan.
Fonseca is one of the names on Milan’s shortlist in their attempt to hire a new manager, along with Porto boss Sergio Conceicao. While the Porto boss is currently the leading candidate, Fonseca seems to be the alternative.
Daniele Longo has reported that Milan are on Fonseca’s mind as well and he is currently waiting to understand what decision they make about their managerial choice. This is making sure that even though Fonseca has a general agreement with Marseille over a summer move.
Fonseca’s objective is to announce his future after the 19th of May and he is hoping that by then, he is more clear about Milan’s ideas. Depending on what the Rossoneri decide, Fonseca will make a choice about his future and about his agreement with Marseille.
In the meantime, Jorge Mendes is trying his best to make sure that Milan hire Conceicao and already has transfer targets in mind for them.
