In a chilling turn of events, a Richmond man, Kenric Henry, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a horrifically trying to violently murder his wife.

GUILTY PLEA FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT OF A FAMILY MEMBER 

 The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office announced the sentence on April 30, after Henry pleaded guilty to aggravated assault of a family member with a weapon.

During the sentencing hearing, lead prosecutor Jacqueline McElroy revealed that Henry had shot his wife multiple times while she was on the phone with her mother. The brutality of the attack is staggering - Henry fired at his wife's abdomen and legs and even pistol-whipped her in the face.

GUN MIRACIOUSLY JAMS

The situation escalated dangerously when Henry attempted to shoot his wife in the head, but his gun jammed. In a disturbing twist, he then threatened his wife and her teenage sons, ominously declaring, "We are all gonna die here," as he prepared to reload his weapon.

Thankfully, the quick thinking of the 16-year-old son saved the day. He bravely sought help from neighbors while his younger brother dialed 911 from a hiding spot upstairs. Despite her injuries, Henry's wife managed to summon aid by concealing herself under a bed and calling for help.
