Everyone's favourite agricultural show is back for another year. The 155th Balmoral Show is almost upon us and takes place this year from Wednesday, May 15 to Saturday, May 18 2024.

With sunny intervals and temperatures of 18C forecast for opening day, spirits are set to be high as vendors, farmers and eventgoers gear up for another big year of the Balmoral Show.

Where is the Balmoral Show?

The location of the show is Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Halftown Road, Lisburn, BT27 5RD.

It's two miles from Sprucefield at Junction 7, 10 minutes from Belfast and 84 minutes from Dublin.

What are the Balmoral Show opening hours?

  • Wednesday: 9:30am - 6:00pm
  • Thursday: 9:30am - 8:00pm
  • Friday: 9:30am - 7:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:30am - 6:00pm

A strict no-dogs policy is in place apart from assistance dogs.

How do I get tickets to the Balmoral Show?

Tickets for the 2024 Balmoral Show are day specific and must be purchased online.

Please make sure to select the correct day prior to purchasing. All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

How much are tickets?

Day one at Balmoral Show, in partnership with Ulster Bank. Balmoral Park opens for the annual agricultural show.

Tickets cost £27 per adult and £4 for children aged 5-11.

Tickets for over 65s are £20. Tickets are £19 for youths aged 12-18.

Children under 5 years go free.

How do I get to the Balmoral Show?

The Balmoral showgrounds are located just outside the city of Lisburn. The nearest train station is Lisburn Train station (less than 15 minutes away) from which a complimentary shuttle service to the showgrounds will run.

Here's how to get to the show by car:

From West - Take the M1 to junction 8 and follow the directional signage.

From North West - Take the M1 to junction 8 and follow the directional signage.

From Lisburn - Take the Moira Road out of Lisburn and follow directional signage.

From Belfast - Travel South on the M1, coming off at Sprucefield and follow directional signage to Balmoral Park.

From North East - Travel South on the M1, coming off at Sprucefield and follow directional signage to Balmoral Park.

From South - Travel up the A1 dual carriageway and follow directional signage.

Can I park at the Balmoral Show?

Car parking is available on the showgrounds at a daily rate of £10 per car. Please note, car parking can be paid by cash only on the day of your visit.

As with any large scale events, there will be queues arriving and leaving the showgrounds at peak times. Please make sure to make provisions for any delays.

During Show days, show-goers are encouraged to make use of public transport and the free shuttle bus service.

The Rural Crime Partnership will be back at the Supporting Safer Communities marquee, where visitors can get lots of crime prevention advice from Police Service of Northern Ireland ( PSNI ) Crime Prevention Officers and partner agencies.

Lisburn and Castlereagh District Commander, Superintendent Kelly Moore said: “We are delighted to see the return of the much-loved Balmoral Show here in Lisburn, where the event will be held once again in the Eikon Centre in Balmoral Park.
