As the weather warms up, I’ve started to look at upgrading my wardrobe for the season and finding some new staple pieces.
I’m a big fan of dressing in Stevie Nicks/70’s inspired outfits, so when I saw this boho floral dress for £28 while doing my regular Asda shop, I knew it was one to try. The Black Floral Shirred Puff Sleeve Dress is made of light chiffon material making it the perfect dress in hot weather, and it can easily be layered for a versatile look.
It’s also easy to dress down with trainers for a casual look, or to dress up for a meal out at a restaurant – I’ve worn this dress for both occasions and it was complimented every time.

One look at the reviews online and I saw that I wasn’t the only one raving about this dress. One reviewer gave it a five-star rating and said: "Pretty print and nice floaty material. Good fit and very flattering."
Another user wrote: ‘Lovely detail on the hem and it fit very well.’ The flowing skirt adds to that enchanting Stevie Nicks effect, and it’s hard not to listen to ‘Age of Seventeen’ while wearing it.
The shirring on the bodice combined with the puffed sleeves also makes for a flattering silhouette and I can easily see this dress becoming a staple piece in my wardrobe.
It’s also made me re-evaluate shopping for clothes at Asda. This dress proved to me that there was a wider range than I previously thought, and has made me consider Asda as a convenient, stylish place to look for pieces in the future.
