Samsung's store discounts on its wireless earphones may look pretty dire at the moment, but a new deal from AO will give shoppers a £65 discount on a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. A well-known rival to Apple's range of AirPods.

The Buds 2 Pro True Wireless can now be picked up for £159, a welcomed price drop from its usual £219 rate. Fitted with soundbusting active noise cancellation this high-spec feature allows users to listen hassle-free in loud environments, pretty similar to the tech used across rival Google Pixel Buds and Apple AirPod pairs.

Like other Samsung Galaxy pairs the Buds 2 Pro True Wireless has Bluetooth connectivity (that would be a no-brainer), a five-hour battery life, and a built-in microphone so you can double up the use to switch between listening to music and podcasts to make calls.

The cheaper pair are also compatible with any iOS or Android device which is a huge selling point for those who switch between the two mobile biggies regularly. The only thing eager shoppers should note is that there is no known time limit on the deal so it's unknown how long the sale will be around, our guess would be to be quick.

While the price was the main factor that caught our eye, the pair's strong reviews are another reason why we'd suggest you consider buying them, as users say they let off a 'perfect sound'. "I am giving five stars but I have a Samsung phone, so I get all the perks of these Buds. Quite honestly I am amazed by the sound quality of these earbuds and how the ANC cancels the sound", said one recent AO shopper.

The user said the pair is great for using when commuting too although they did point out they work best with Samsung which is worth thinking about before purchasing. As they said: "I noticed that in the middle of the Central Line, I could barely hear the loud noise we normally get on that tube line. For some earbuds, it does match the quality of sound and noise cancelling as some Headphones (which should perform better on paper).

"There are some nice features like the sound turning low once it detects I am speaking with someone, although this does not work well if sing along lol. Notice that if you don't have a Samsung phone, you don't get the same sound quality so maybe I would recommend seeing other products, but if have a Samsung, definitely think about getting these."

Other models we would recommend looking at to weigh up the varying specs include the Google Pixel Buds Pro, AirPods thanks to Curry's much cheaper £99 price or an affordable pair of JBL Wave Beam earphones.

While another recent reviewer said: "Very happy with my new Samsung Buds. The sound is amazing and very comfortable, also they stay put even when I am in the Gym".
