As wedding season is in full swing, many of us are on the hunt for the ultimate guest outfit, and we’ve found a celeb-approved brand at John Lewis that’s perfect for all your special occasions. The UK fashion brand Raishma has launched its best-selling Studio collection at the British department store this month - and it’s ideal for holidays, events and everything in between.
The brand’s studio collection is a huge hit with a host of stylish stars, including Strictly's Amy Dowden. The Welsh dancer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, has been seen wearing Raishma on at least three occasions.
The 33-year-old wore a white dress with pink detailing on the cover of Hello! recently, but also wore a pink floral design on Loose Women while discussing her cancer journey with the panel, opting for an orange Raishma number when she appeared on the Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two in October.

But she’s not the only celebrity fan of the brand, with Amanda Holden also having worn one of their designs to the Heart FM office, while Susanna Reid wore one of their gowns to the 2023 NTAs.
Available online, the Raishma Studio collection with John Lewis offers stunning printed dresses that can be worn from day to night. With prices starting at £125 and available in sizes 8 to 18, each piece is said to ‘inspire confidence for all shapes’ with their ‘flattering’ cut silhouettes.
Award-winning fashion designer Raishma Islam created spectacular couture for fifteen years before launching her own ready-to-wear collection in 2013. In 2021 she launched Raishma Studio, with a wide range of stunning, affordable printed dresses that compliment her ready-to wear, bridal and couture offerings.
She said: “We are very excited that the Raishma Studio collection is now available with such an established and prestigious retailer as John Lewis. The way the collection has been embraced since we launched just three years ago has been hugely encouraging. Finally, big retail names are recognising why we have such a loyal and diverse customer base. It all comes down to our flattering cuts and prints which are really very versatile, while being affordable too.”
One of our favourites is the Raishma Celine Floral One Shoulder Maxi Dress, which costs £265. The one shoulder floor-length dress is made from a lightweight fabric with an asymmetric neckline and a stunning floral print and a long dramatic drape on the opposite shoulder, making for a stunning summer events piece. Alternatively, we found this blue, one-shoulder draped design at Mango for £89.99.
Equally gorgeous in a more modest style is the Raishma Aspen Floral Bishop Sleeve Maxi Dress, designed with a high neckline and full-length sleeves. Costing £185, it has a flattering a-line shape and is covered in spring-ready blooms.
Meanwhile, this Raishma Alicia Floral Midi Dress is £145, with a fuss-free but smart v-neckline and elbow length sleeves. However, some sizes are already selling out, which could lead to some disappointment if you have your heart set on a particular style. But if that was still a little over budget, Oasis have slashed the price of some of their occasionwear pieces at Debenhams, like this Floral Lace Bodice Tiered Midi Dress, which is now £71.10.
