Footage emerges of Oleksandr Usyk team member 'spitting in people's faces' in the ring after Tyson Fury win

Oleksandr Usyk remained unbeaten as he downed Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.

Footage has emerged which appeared to show a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team ‘spitting at everyone's faces’ inside the ring.

On Saturday night, the world of boxing was fixated on the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sporting stars such as Anthony Joshua, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Steven Gerrard and Lennox Lewis were all in attendance as Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.

The Ukrainian was awarded the fight via a split decision.

After the fight, whilst Fury was being interviewed inside the ring, a member of Usyk’s team appeared to take a sip of his drink before spitting it back out.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Someone from Usyk's camp spitting in everyone's faces.”

Another tweeted: “Frank Warren was having none of it.”

A third fan added: “Might be wrong but I think he’s spitting on Usyk to try and cool him down if u look at his hat all the water goes on him.”

Someone else wrote: “Very unconventional. Spitting on him whilst getting everyone else, look their faces. There's other ways/places/times he could do that to Usyk.”

A fifth commented: “Why’s Usyk’s boy spitting on everyone llloool.”

Another fan said: “Did anyone else see the spitting spraying water from the Usyk camp.”

Speaking in his post-fight press conference, Usyk was emotional as he spoke about his late father.

He said: “Last time when my father saw me was in my dreams. I miss my father and I said to him 'hey listen, you live there and I live here, please don't come for me, I love you.'

“For me it is hard when my father comes back to me because I remember all life," Usyk added while visibly emotional and wiping away tears from his eyes. |I know he is here, maybe sitting out there [in the press room].”

Usyk added: “My camp started in September 2023, I worked for nine months. I missed Happy New Year, I missed my son's birthday, I missed my other son's birthday, I missed my daughter's birthday and then the birth of my daughter.

“I also missed family holidays. I was only focused on this fight, now I'm happy and I want to go back home.”
