GOOD Morning Britain presenter Robert Rinder is heartbroken after the loss of his beloved grandmother.

The judge and TV host took to social media today to share new of his loved one's passing, aged 96, and paid tribute to her.

In an emotional post, Rob, 45, wrote: "My beloved Grandma Frances passed away yesterday at 96.

"She adored me, her grandchildren & great grandchildren with FIERCE love. What a limitless gift it is to have had her in my life. Hold those who love you truly & unconditionally close."

He ended the tribute by thanking Jewish Care, a social care organisation in the South East, who helped look after her.

Amongst the snaps he shared, one showed him lying next to his gran in bed.

Another showed him holding her hand.

One was a sepia-coloured throwback of his attractive grandma in her younger days stood next to two unidentified men.

And a fourth showed her in the audience at a TV awards show.

Rob's colleagues and friends were quick to share their condolences.

Loose Women host Ruth Langsford commented: "So sorry for your loss Rob. How wonderful to have had her, and all that love ,in your life for so long. Sending love and condolences to you and your family."

Pal Gaby Roslin added: "Love you my darling."

Criminal barrister Rob is a regular presenter of GMB, and fans recently called for him to be made a full-time fixture on the show.

After he fronted a recent show with Charlotte Hawkins for the second week in a row, viewers took to social media to demand a more permanent presence.

After the episode wrapped, one fan was quick to post on X: "Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins are an underrated double act, give them the Friday show permanently."

A second chipped in: "Very interesting how different presenters on #GMB appear to influence the content and quality of the show.

"Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins are elevating the brand today with really solid takes and interviews. A refreshing change from the 'facile Fridays' of yore."

Rob also recently sparked romance rumours with Rylan Clark as they hit the red carpet at the TV BAFTAs together.

The pair looked close as they posed for photographers with their arms round one another.

The duo recently joined forces for a new BBC Two travel show.

Rylan shared a sweet snap of him and Rob writing that they had "become family".

But Rob set the rumour mill spinning after sharing a cryptic reply and a quote from romantic poet Lord Byron, leading some fans to ask if they are more than friends.

"'Friendship may and often does, grow into love.' Byron... See you alongside him 9pm tonight," Rob replied with a love heart emoji.
