As this year really hits its stride, we continue to feel super excited about the seriously impressive slate of 2025 movies.
Whatever you might be in the mood for, there's something epic to watch, whether it's Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield's tearjerker We Live In Time, the latest instalment in the Bridget Jones universe, Margot Robbie's latest big cinematic extravaganza, the final arrival of Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot's live action Snow White offering or the latest rendition of Frankenstein starring Jacob Elordi as the monster – there's a lot on offer.
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr will return from the original – but what about Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Here's GLAMOUR's round up of the best 2025 movies you need to know about now – from where to watch the best releases we've already seen in cinemas this year to the most exciting films still to come in 2025.
We Live In Time
Starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, We Live In Time sees a perhaps unlikely couple (a career chef and a man who works for Weetabix, who has recently separated from his wife) quite literally collide and fall in love. We watch their lives unfold and intertwine, until tragedy strikes when Florence's character Almut is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Now, their time together takes on a whole new meaning. Do not forget to refill the tissues before watching this one.
Nosferatu
Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Emma Corrin, Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe, Nosferatu not only has a seriously stellar cast, but it's a modern retelling of a dark vampire story. The film's plot synopsis describes Nosferatu as a “gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake”.
Babygirl
Nicole Kidman is single-handedly holding Hollywood together right now – or at least it feels like it. In Babygirl, she stars as a big shot CEO who gets involved in a BDSM affair with a young employee, played by Where The Crawdads Sing star Harris Dickinson. Also stars Sophie Wilde and Antonio Banderas.
Maria
Angelina Jolie stars in an epic biopic of esteemed opera singer Maria Callas. She was viewed as the world's greatest diva of the opera world, and the movie imagines her final years in Paris as she reflects on her tumultuous life. It's directed by Pablo Larraí, who brought us Spencer – featuring Kristen Stewart's turn as Princess Diana – and Jackie, which starred Natalie Portman as a struggling Jackie Kennedy after JFK's assassination.
A Complete Unknown
Timothée Chalamet plays Bob Dylan in a biopic about the early stages of his career. Elle Fanning joined the cast as Sylvie Russo (based on Dylan's real-life girlfriend and first love Suze Rotolo), who appeared on the album cover of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, his second album.
You're Cordially Invited
Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell go head to head in this adorable rom-com. They play rivals, Margot and Jim, who collide when Margot's planning of her sister's wedding is double booked with Jim's daughter's wedding. They decide to share the venue, which obviously invites disaster.
The You're Cordially Invited stars talk wedding chaos, feminist allyship and filming an alligator wrestling scene.

Love Hurts
Starring Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose, Love Hurts is definitely the anti-Valentines action comedy we all need. Ke Huy Quan plays Marvin, an estate agent with a dark past. After receiving a crimson envelope from a previous partner in crime (DeBose), he finds himself dragged back into his previous life of hit men and drug lords. Will he truly be able to bury his history?
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Yes, she's back. Renée Zellweger and (some of) the old gang returned with the latest Bridget Jones movie, adapted from Helen Fielding's 2013 novel. While Colin Firth's Mark Darcy is dead, we see the return of Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver, Emma Thompson as Bridget's matter-of-fact doctor and Sally Phillips as Shazzer – new additions include Isla Fisher, as well as One Day's Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Eijofor as romantic interests.
The Last Showgirl
Pamela Anderson returned to our screens as a showgirl who grapples with her identity when her 30-year run on a Las Vegas show ends abruptly. You'll be brought to tears with her vulnerability and strength in this role, we just know it. Directed by Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl also stars Kiernan Shipka, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song and Billie Lourd.
Picture This
Bridgerton star Simone Ashley will produces and stars in Amazon Prime rom-com Picture This, which sees her character Pia be sent on a series of wild first dates by her family after a guru she meets at her sister's engagement party predicts that she will meet the love of her life on the next five dates she goes on. Simone has spoken out on how special the project is to her, as she didn't feel she saw any women who looked like her fronting rom-coms when she was growing up.
Snow White
Disney's live-action rendition of Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler as the princess herself and Gal Gadot as the evil queen, is something of a feminist retelling, since Greta Gerwig is credited as a script writer and Zegler described her take on Snow White as a lot “stronger” than the original.
Mickey 17
Directed by Parasite's Bong Joon-ho, Mickey 17 is described as a sci-fi black comedy movie, also based on the novel by Edward Ashton, exploring the life of a “expendable” spacebound employee Mickey (Robert Pattinson) whose body is regenerated after death with most memories still intact. When he survives an expedition to colonise an “ice world”, Mickey finds himself face to face with a new “multiple” of himself, Mickey 18. Also stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo and Holliday Grainger.
A Simple Favour 2
About bloody time. Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are finally due to return for another chapter of the cat-and-mouse antics that we both know and love. This time around the movie will be set in Italy's Capri, as Blake Lively's Emily is set to marry a wealthy Italian businessman. Allison Janney, Henry Golding, Taylor Ortega and Michele Morrone will also appear.

We predict BIG things from this one. Starring Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jodie Turner-Smith, it tells the story of two strangers (Robbie and Farrell, FYI) who meet at a wedding and decide to go on a – you guessed it – big, bold and beautiful journey together, after agreeing that they both believe that they will not ever be loved. Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel, Kaia Gerber, Hunter Schafer, Fleabag's Sian Clifford, FKA Twigs and Jessica Brown Findlay will star in what seems to be a musical movie that follows the relationship between a fashion designer and a musician.
