A technical manager has been celebrated for his 25 years of service.

Damien Walsh joined Bolton-based Assembly Solutions Limited (ASL) in 1999 as a production operator and has now become the first employee to reach the 25-year milestone.

He has worked his way up to become a technical manager and is known for his 'ever-present smile and approachable nature.'

He has been described as a 'valued team member' who has made a 'lasting impact on colleagues and customers alike.'

Mr Walsh has played an 'important role' in securing major contracts, particularly within the automotive sector, thanks to his 'extensive technical expertise in electrical wiring.'

ASL has credited his 'unwavering commitment and positive attitude' as being 'instrumental' in the company's continued success.

To show their appreciation for his loyalty and contributions, ASL presented Mr Walsh with a £1,000 voucher, a Selfridges champagne hamper, a commemorative glass trophy, and a card signed by the entire team.

As a nod to his love of coffee, 49 Beans Coffee Company served freshly brewed coffee and cake to the entire workforce in his honour.

Managing director Gareth Balshaw said: "Damien’s dedication and passion have been invaluable to ASL over the past 25 years.

"He has grown with the company and contributed immensely to our achievements.

"We are truly grateful for his service and delighted to celebrate this remarkable milestone with him."
