The Championship automatic promotion race took yet another dramatic twist on Saturday. With Sheffield United not in action until Sunday, Leeds United and Burnley had the chance to get a grip on their own promotion hopes as they both faced difficult-looking away fixtures.

First, Leeds made the trip to Queens Park Rangers in the 12:30pm Saturday kick-off looking to extend their lead at the top of the Championship. However, the Whites made a dreadful start at Loftus Road as they found themselves 2-0 down within the first half an hour, as Koki Saito and Steve Cook for the home side.

But Leeds, as they have done on numerous occasions this season, responded and clawed themselves back into the game. They pulled one back just before half-time through Morgan Fox's own-goal, before Jayden Bogle equalised after the break. Daniel Farke's men pushed to find an all-important winner in the second half but they were unable to score a third and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

As for Burnley, they managed to get back to winning ways following Tuesday's 1-1 draw with West Brom. Scott Parker's side ran out 2-0 winners at Swansea City thanks to first-half goals from Josh Brownhill and ex-Leeds loanee Jaidon Anthony. It's a result that moves the Clarets into the top-two above Sheffield United, who face Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday at 12:30pm, and to within two points of leaders Leeds.
