Leeds United's record in the capital is not great and the club have been reminded of that on national radio after Daniel Farke's side inspired a bit of mickey-taking after their draw at Queens Park Rangers. The Whites came from behind to pick up a point at QPR on Saturday lunchtime, a result that ensures they will head into the international break top of the table.

While it may prove to be a very useful point on the road when the season comes to a no-doubt dramatic close, a failure to win ensures an unwanted record continues for Leeds United. According to talkSPORT, Leeds have not won in the capital since September 2023, when beating Millwall 3-0 at the New Den last season.

While the statistic may seem "remarkable" as claimed by the talkSPORT presenters Jason Cundy and Jamie O'Hara, Leeds have only played league matches at QPR and Millwall in this time, with Watford clearly not counting despite being in the London area given Leeds won there 4-0 recently.

Still, it didn't stop the talkSPORT duo poking fun at Leeds on their Game Day phone-in show, with the two playing up for the audience. Speaking clearly in jest, the pair were quick to lean into well worn stereotypes.

Cundy said; "Leeds drew 2-2 at QPR. At the top of the Championship, it's so tight, but get this for a stat. Leeds have not won in London since September 2023. They call us southern softies, right?"

O'Hara responded with; "It's soft northerners mate, getting bashed all over the gaffe. Don’t come down here giving it the big un’. We’re gonna spank you and send you back up north. Off you pop, lads.”
