Leeds United came from behind to draw 2-2 against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, but they failed to win for the third time across four matches this month.
Koki Saito gave the hosts the lead with a superb strike and Steve Cook doubled the lead inside the opening half-an-hour with a header. QPR's goals came with 13 minutes of each other, and it took Leeds the same amount of in-game time to draw level for a share.
Morgan Fox deflected a Junior Firpo shot past Paul Nardi just before the break - and before Jayden Bogle tapped his rebound six minutes into the second half, but no winner would come ultimately. Here's a round-up of how the national media saw the draw in west London;
BBC Sport
"Leeds were inspired by the half-time introduction of Willy Gnonto," according to BBC's match report. They also acknowledged the Whites "made a bright start, dominating the ball in the early stages" and "continued to try to play and send crosses into the box" after going one goal down.
However, they also highlighted that Saito "took advantage of a loose ball from Brenden Aaronson in the box" to score before Ilan Meslier was "rooted to the spot" when Cook headed home "unchallenged". They also explained after Leeds pulled one back, "the QPR defence appealed for offside against Bogle, and the goal would have been disallowed had the right-back touched the ball on the line - with Firpo kept well onside by the Hoops' defenders. But the ball flicked in off the unfortunate Fox to go down as an own goal."
After the break, Gnonto made an "instant impact" as a substitute as "the visitors still looked vulnerable to long balls". However, it awas dubbed a "scrappy second half" as a whole.
The Daily Mail
"Just when Leeds thought they had overcome their shaky late-season form, Farke and his side were handed a reminder that this promotion race is far from over," The Daily Mail's match report reads. "This time it was a struggling Queens Park Rangers side who upset the apple cart as they held Leeds to a draw and, as a result, put a major dent into Farke's title hopes."
They described the opening goal as Saito being "able to capitalise on Leeds' defensive frailties" and acknowledged after the second that they "appeared rattled by Rangers' first-half onslaught". However, "after the interval, they looked all the part of a Premier League hopeful as they dismantled the QPR defence time and time again," with the build-up to Bogle equalising dubbed a "blistering attack".
