It may have been a winless end to the latest run of Championship games before the international break, but in picking up a point at Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United ensured no matter what the results were elsewhere, they would be top of the table for the next two weeks at least.

With eight games to go Leeds' promotion hope remains firmly in their hands. The plan is simple. Win all their remaining games and Leeds will be back in the Premier League. Reality and hope are different things, however. The chances are there will be speed bumps along the way.

That being the case, just how many points are needed for promotion is a key question many are asking right now. Leeds can still finish on an incredible 104 points if they were to win all their games, while Burnley who currently lie third can finish on 102 points.

So how many will be enough to secure a top two finish? We asked Leeds supporters that very question to assess their thoughts and the answer was pretty convincing. With over 2,000 supporters voting, 43 per cent of fans asked believe a total between 94 and 96 points will be enough to secure a top two finish.

That would mean a record of just four wins, two draws and two defeats would be enough from the last eight games to go up, or five wins. Leeds have done nothing to suggest that wont be achievable given their record since the start of the season.

Here's how Leeds supporters voted in our poll.
