Leeds United are being linked with a move for FC Nantes winger Herba Guirassy. The teenager is beginning to attract attention from a number of clubs ahead of the summer, after impressing in a real breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1.
The Whites, along with Celtic are both being discussed as leading candidates to land the 18-year-old, who is starting to build a reputation for his attacking ability. Guirassy has two goals from his 15 league games this season, with reports suggesting Leeds have already seen enough to add him to their potential transfer list.
The Guinean attacker has three more years remaining on his contract and while Nantes will still happily listen to offers, that length of contract is likely to men it could cost close in the region of £8m to acquire the teenager.
While Guirassy is still in his breakout year in Ligue 1, he has been known to many elite sides for some time now given his performances in junior football, which included scoring 24 goals in 36 appearances for his club's under-19s team. The price may be an issue for Leeds, given Guirassy is unlikely to be signed to be an immediate first team player, with the youngster needing further time to develop, especially should Leeds be a Premier League club next season.
Leeds are not currently short of options out wide and are expected to try to strike an agreement which will see Manor Solomon remain at the club after making his switch from Tottenham Hotspur permanent.
