Ex GB News star's 'subtle dig' at Eamonn Holmes 'using Ruth Langsford'

Isabel Webster used to present on GB News alongside Eamonn Holmes until her sudden departure

Eamonn Holmes' ex GB News co-presenter appeared to make a subtle dig at him months after her sudden departure from the breakfast show.

Isabel was let go by GB News after two years of hosting their main morning programme earlier this uear.


Eamonn, 65, has since been hosting with Ellie Costello.


Seemingly aiming a barb at her former on-screen partner, Isabel shared a heartfelt tribute to Eamonn's ex-wife, Ruth Langsford, 65, on Instagram.

She uploaded a photo looking glamorous alongside the Loose Women panellist for Ruth's birthday in her story update.

Captioning the image, Isabel wrote: "Happy birthday @ruthlangsford," attaching a pair of clinking champagne glasses emojis.

Eamonn and Ruth had publicised their decision to go their separate ways after 14 years of marriage back in May 2024.


He has since begun a new chapter with Katie Alexander, 43, with the couple frequently spotted together on various social occasions.

Ruth is said to not be ready to date following the divorce.

Speaking about the 'very difficult' end of their relationship, Ruth shared: “I’ve chosen to pick myself up and get on with life.

“Relationship breakdowns are very difficult – marriage, friendship, whatever it is – but you just deal with it, and you have to move on.

"You can either let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”
