The 13 Grammy-award winner singer songwriter is bringing his acclaimed debut album Get Lifted back to the stage

Singer songwriter John Legend is embarking on an epic tour, visiting more than 40 cities across the UK, Europe and North America - and he's stopping off in Birmingham.

The Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour is bringing his acclaimed debut album back to the stage. This album won three Grammy Awards: Best New Artist, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Album.

Fans can expect to hear Used to Love U, Number One, So High and, of course, Ordinary People together with additional hits from over the past two decades.

Kicking off May 27 at OVO Hydro in Glasgow, it will include shows at The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Accor Arena in Paris, Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and Barclays Center in New York.

When will John Legend be in Birmingham?

The multi-platinum artists will be at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Friday May 30, 2025.

To celebrate 20 years, there is also an anniversary edition of Get Lifted available featuring guest artists such as Black Thought, Tems, Killer Mike, Lil Wayne, and Simi.

Expanding the original album with 11 bonus tracks, Get Lifted (20th Anniversary) includes eight brand-new remixes, rare B-sides, and two previously unreleased studio performances recorded during the original Get Lifted sessions.

How to get tickets to see John Legend in Birmingham

Presales for UK and European dates begin Wednesday March 19, with general on-sale starting Friday March 21. Find out more and book tickets via the Live Nation website.

Prior to releasing Get Lifted, John Legend was a sought-after behind-the-scenes talent, playing piano on Lauryn Hill's Everything Is Everything and singing backup vocals for Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

As the first artist to sign with Kanye West's GOOD Music, Legend broke into the Billboard 200 Top 10 at number four with Get Lifted, which also reached number one on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
